VBS becomes the first Ivy Building tenant with a 1724m² contract
2010-06-01
Ivy Building in Capellen is shortly due to welcome its first tenant VBS (Victor Buck Services ) which will be taking up roughly 1724 m² of office space and 58 parking bays.
Having been advised by Forworx, VBS has just signed a 9 year rental agreement and will be taking up all the ground floor office space as well as a third of the first floor.
VBS is a financial services provider active in Europe and Asia, specializing in the outsourcing of document printing in the banking, enterprise services and government sectors.
VBS’s single largest shareholder is the Luxembourg state, which owns a 49% stake through P&T.
Renaud Jamar and Nicolas Buck, VBS administrators, could not be happier about the relocation: « our employees are very pleased about the location and the amenities: there are enough parking spaces, the highway is nearby, a variety of shops is on hand, we have great access to public transportation and to top it all a wonderful uncluttered view of the Luxembourg countryside» said Renaud Jamar, who also added: « one of the main reasons why we chose the IVY building was its advanced electrical management system that assures continuous, reliable power supply in case the main power unit breaks down. We cannot do without such a backup system in a high value added activity such as ours ».
Ivy building is an ambitious project designed by the Steinmetz De Meyer design partnership and conceived, supervised and fitted out by Forworx. With its flat roof, exotic wooden façade and spacious entrance hall, the building is a striking piece of state-of-the-art architecture. The building is particularly user-friendly: each floor was designed with flexibility in mind and is hence divisible all the way down to 244 m², each division having its own toilet facilities and specific amenities. All the surfaces carry remarkably low maintenance costs while offering air conditioning, ventilation and noise-deafening tilting windows.
Parking bays are aplenty and any IT equipment can be transferred to a bespoke underground room is so desired.
